Trinidad Bakes/Float & Running Egg
In Trinidad & Tobago, a weekend breakfast consists of Float/Bakes & Eggs.
Bakes is a form of bread that has a soft texture; it is made from flour, water, salt, sugar and yeast, grated coconut (optional).
The dough is left to proof and then ball out and fried in oil.
It is delicious, light, and airy can also be paired with running eggs, fried eggs, cheese, fried shark, fried fish, or what you fancy on the day.
